Tujenge at Tanzania Construction Conference 2025

Tujenge Construction was honored to participate in the Tanzania Construction Conference 2025, held January 3-5 at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre in Dar es Salaam. Our team engaged with industry peers, shared knowledge, and explored the latest innovations shaping our industry.

Conference Theme

This year's conference theme was "Building Tomorrow's Tanzania: Innovation, Sustainability, and Growth." The event brought together contractors, architects, engineers, developers, government officials, and suppliers to discuss challenges and opportunities facing the Tanzanian construction industry.

Our Presentation

Our Technical Director, Engineer Grace Mbeki, delivered a well-received presentation titled "Practical Approaches to Sustainable Construction in Tanzania." The session covered:

  • Cost-effective sustainable building techniques
  • Locally available green materials
  • Energy efficiency strategies suited to Tanzanian climate
  • Water conservation in building design
  • Challenges and solutions from real project experience

The presentation attracted a full audience and generated extensive discussion during the Q&A session. Attendees expressed particular interest in the practical, implementable strategies that don't require premium budgets.

Exhibition Booth

Our exhibition booth showcased several completed projects, sustainable material samples, and information about our services. We enjoyed meeting many visitors, including existing clients, potential clients, students, and fellow industry professionals.

Key Takeaways

The conference provided valuable insights into industry trends:

  • Sustainability is mainstream: Once considered niche, sustainable building practices are now expected by clients and regulators
  • Technology adoption is accelerating: BIM, drones, and digital project management are becoming standard tools
  • Skills development is critical: The industry faces a shortage of skilled workers, requiring investment in training
  • Local manufacturing is growing: Tanzanian building material production is expanding in capacity and quality

Networking

Beyond formal sessions, the conference provided excellent networking opportunities. We connected with potential partners, learned from peers, and strengthened relationships with existing collaborators.

Our Commitment

Participating in industry events like this conference reflects our commitment to continuous improvement and industry leadership. We return to our projects with new ideas, contacts, and inspiration.

Next Year

We look forward to participating in the Tanzania Construction Conference 2026 and continuing to share knowledge and learn from our industry peers. Thank you to the organizers for a successful event and to everyone who visited our booth or attended our presentation.
