From Drawing to Reality — Lintel Stage
There is a moment in every build where a drawing stops being lines on paper and becomes a structure you can walk into. This project followed a home from its approved plans to the lintel stage — the point where the walls are up and the shape of the house is finally real.
Project Overview
The client came to us with architectural drawings and a clear vision. Our work was to set out the building accurately, get the foundation right, and carry the structure up to lintel level exactly as designed.
The Stages
- Setting Out: Translating the drawings precisely onto the site
- Foundation: Excavation, footing, and the substructure
- Columns & Beams: Casting the frame that carries the building
- Walling: Building up to the lintel level
- Supervision: Checking the work before every major pour
Why the Lintel Stage Matters
By the lintel stage, the building's footprint, room sizes, and openings are all set in concrete and block. Getting everything right up to this point is what makes the rest of the build go smoothly — and what gives the client confidence that their dream is taking the right shape.
